Home EnglishAbout usMessage from our CEO

Since Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) first started operating in Uruguay in 2002 the country has undergone important developments. It has survived a severe financial crisis, largely thanks to the agro-industrial sector as well as technological and biotechnological advances. We have witnessed and played a leading role in the tremendous growth in terms of productivity and market transformation, as well as infrastructure developments and decentralization of services that are able to serve our increasingly informed and demanding agricultural producers.

LDC Uruguay offers a wide variety of logistical and financial solutions for different types of producers across the country. We have six commercial offices in Montevideo, Paysandú, Río Negro, Nueva Palmira and Durazno, a warehouse for fertilizers in Canelones, and country elevators in Tres Bocas, Río Negro, and Paysandú. We also have agreements with strategic partners and alliances in main ports, enabling us to have a strong presence in the main cropping areas and allowing us to be close to our clients and to guarantee fast delivery of Uruguayan products to the rest of the world.

Thanks to our qualified team and the tools that enable us to offer services to other countries, we have opened an office in an economic free zone to provide support to our Group offices abroad.

We have a committed Corporate Social Responsibility policy and several initiatives that aim to improve the quality of life of people and communities where we operate.

We are proud of what we have achieved so far, but it is just the beginning of a great story for LDC.

We hope you find our website interesting. We invite you to contact us should you want to know more about our company.
