India is the largest consumer and second largest producer of sugar in the world. Louis Dreyfus Company India originates raw, crystal and refined sugar from local mills. We also supply raw sugar to coastal refineries and purchase refined sugar from them. All these activities are executed by our competent origination, logistic and research teams.

LDC India’s Sugar Platform started its activities in 1999, when it began importing sugar into the country, and over the following year, it expanded its activities to trading. Today, LDC India has established itself as one of the most trustworthy names in sugar trading, through regular participation in international flows to and from India.
Our sourcing for exports comes from sugar mills in Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. We supply raw sugar and purchase refined sugar from coastal toll refineries.
Our merchandizing activity is backed by sound research which has enabled us to stay responsive to evolving business conditions and customer needs.
