Our cotton history in China
Louis Dreyfus Company began to sell cotton to China’s textile industry in 1972. A major office was established in Beijing in 2000 to manage merchandizing and logistical support for both domestic and imported cotton in China.
Knowledge & expertise
Equipped with up-to-date knowledge of cotton supply and demand in major cotton growing and consumption areas, our cotton team has built up solid expertise in risk management and futures markets. From the office in Beijing, the team manages the procurement of raw cotton from Xinjiang, Shandong, Hebei and Hubei and sells it to textile mills around the country.

We have a large-scale network of warehouses and storage sites, allowing for fast and efficient movement of cotton from gins to mills.
