LDC Argentina provides services throughout the soybean value chain and has assets including interior logistics, warehouses, crushing plants, biodiesel and lecithin plants and ports. We purchase soybeans directly from the farmers and from our extensive network of intermediaries in the market, which includes interior elevators, cooperatives and brokers. We are able to provide liquidity and prices to support farmers with their selling decisions. The beans that we purchase are delivered to ports for export or to crushing facilities to be processed and transformed into soybean meal and soybean oils. As part of a broader offer, we also provide complementary services to farmers such as buying grains as well as selling fertilizers, seeds and crop protection.
We have invested in two large processing plants that have a combined crushing ability of approximately 19 000 tons per day. Both plants are located near Rosario, Santa Fe province, and also include port terminals. In order to meet our objective of fully covering the value chain, we have also invested in two biodiesel plants and one lecithin line.
Due to our interaction with other LDC offices worldwide, we are able to deliver Argentinean oilseed products to international destinations, the main ones being China, India, South-East Asia, Europe and other countries in South America.
