Cotton highlights
We have central warehousing and logistics in the main producing province
We are a large-scale exporter of Argentine cotton
We are an active domestic player in Argentina’s key producing areas
LDC Argentina entered the cotton industry in 2005 and is now one of the markets most active players. We are the country’s second largest cotton exporter and one of the top 10 domestic suppliers to local yarn mills.
We have a significant domestic presence due to our strong local team and our Buenos Aires office. We focus on building and maintaining strong and long lasting relationships with farmers and ginners, and on providing different marketing solutions.
We have inland investments and own a storage facility in the main producing province, Chaco, which helps speed up sourcing for domestic and international export markets.
In December 2014, LDC acquired a cotton ginning plant located 7 km away from Quimilí, in Santiago del Estero Province. The plant has an annual processing capacity of 42 000 tons of raw cotton, which allows LDC to provide processing services to various cotton producers in the area, and thereby consolidate our position in the international cotton trading market.
